Madhur Mittal Biography

Madhur Mittal is an Indian actor, best known for playing the role of Salim Malik, Jamal's elder brother in the film Slumdog Millionaire, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture of 2008. As a member of crew, he won Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for his role in the movie. The actor dreams to do good roles in Bollywood. In 1997, Madhur won Boogie Woogie dance show aired on Sony Television.

Before doing this historic movie, Madhur acted in several TV serials in the 1990s. Madhur has acted in several Bollywood movies since 2000, as a child actor. He made his acting debut in 2000 for the movie, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye where he appeared as Salman Khan’s nephew. The following year he was seen as one among the children of Jackie Shroff, whom Shah Rukh takes care of. The movie was ‘1 2 ka 4’. Then he was seen in a teenager role in 2007 movie, Say Salaam India followed by Slumdog Millionaire. After a break he made a comeback as an adult actor through the American biographical sports drama film, Million Dollar Arm in 2014. He played the role of an Indian right-handed baseball pitcher, Dinesh Patel in the movie.

Madhur acted in several TV serials since 1990s. Some of his early roles are Jalwa, Chamatkar, Dastak etc till he won the reality dance show on Sony television Boogie Woogie in 1997. Later he appeared in television soap - Kasauti Zindagi Ki and children series - Shaka Laka Boom Boom. In 2012, he was seen in British Television serials - Kidnap and Ransom and Treasure Island.
