Leema Babu Biography

Leema Babu is a south Indian film actress who has played supporting roles in Malayalam and Tamil flicks. She played the supporting role of Divya in the highly praised Fahadh Fazil starrer - Money Ratnam in 2014. She also played Dulquer Salmaan’s cousin in 2013 flop film - Pattam Pole. Earlier in 2010, she has appeared in a Tamil flick - Rasikkum Seemane in a supporting role, the movie with starred Srikanth, Navya Nair and Aravind Akash in lead roles. She portrayed the childhood role of lead actress Navya Nair in the movie.

Leema Babu originally belongs to Kerala, born in 1998. She started her film career as a child artist at the age of 12, where she played the childhood role of Navya Nair in the Tamil flick - Rasikkum Seemane. She went on to play teenager roles in a few more Tamil movies in 2010 – Rettaisuzhi and the highly acclaimed Madrasapattinam, where she played lead actor Arya’s younger sister. In 2011, she played the lead role of Meena in the Tamil flick – Narthagi, a film on transgender.

Later she took a small break and concentrated on to her studies before she made a reentry to Mollywood with two flicks in supporting roles. She was first seen in 2013 Pattam pole, followed by 2014 Money ratnam. She was also seen in Tamil films, Chuda Chuda and Sooraiyadal both released in 2013. Vaanara Saenai by Saravanan Sakthi got shelved. Her 2015 releases include the Malayalam flick – Jilebi, where she was seen aside Jaya Surya and Remya Nambesan, and two Tamil films - Thakka Thakka and Maanga. Saahasam and Yazh are her upcoming Tamil movies.
