Lavanya Tripathi Biography

Lavanya Tripathi is a model and actress who works in movies as well as television serials. She also appears in both Bollywood and south Indian movies. She debut big screen in 2012 with the Telugu film Andala Rakshasi. Before that she has been a successful model and has acted in television series like Ssshhhh...Koi Hai and Pyaar Ka Bandhan and has participated as a contestant in Get Gorgeous. She was Miss Uttarakhand 2006. She debut Tamil film industry with ‘Brahman’ in 2014 opposite Sasikumar. The movie received mixed reviews from the critics and was a commercial success.



Tripathi was born in Ayodhya in 1989. Lavanya did her schooling in Dehradun and completed graduation from National College, Mumbai. Her father is a lawyer and her mother worked as a teacher, now a housewife. She has two elder siblings. Though she had great passion in acting since childhood, her father wanted her to finish her studies before starting a career in entertainment industry. She started modelling, appeared in commercials and also won Miss Uttarakhand 2006. She auditioned for the Telugu film Andala Rakshasi and got selected in a role which needs no glamour or makeup. She received the best debutant award from Maa TV for her debut role and the movie was a hit. She was paired opposite Naveen Chandra and surprisingly she is to debut Tamil film industry opposite the same actor.



Lavanya’s second Telugu film Doosukeltha opposite Vishnu Manchu too was a box office hit. Naanum Rowdydhaan is her upcoming movie where she has been paired opposite Gautham Karthik and she has been casted in Gautham Menon’s upcoming movie. She has been the face of Fair and Lovely and has appeared in many television commercials and print ads.
