Lakshmi Narayana Biography 
Lakshmi Narayana is an Indian Administrative Service officer from Andhra Pradesh who received first rank in 1990 UPSC Civil Service exams. He currently holds Inspector general of police Rank under Y-category security handling high profile corruption cases. He formerly served as the Joint Director for India's Central Bureau of Investigation and known for his investigations on. S. Jaganmohan Reddy's Disproportionate Assets case, Emaar Properties, 2G spectrum scam, Satyam Scandal, Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter, OMC Scandal etc. As Deputy inspector general of police, he successfully investigated the infamous IT Scam, Satyam Scandal.
He was born in Srisailam in the year 1965. He spent his childhood days in his hometown where he completed his school education. Later he took B. Tech at Regional Engineering College – Warangal and M. Tech at Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. He was an Inspector General, Maharastra cadre of 1990 batch who topped civil service exams the same year. He has served as Superintendent of police for Nanded and has also been associated with Maharastra Anti-Terrorism Squad. But his real dream was to work with CBI and he was posted as DIG, Hyderabad in 2006. His service of 5 years was extended to 7 years due to his special interest.
This IAS officer is a wonderful orator and known for his inspirational speeches. He is a great follower of Swami Vivekananda too. He received the Indian police medal in the year 2006. In 2012, he filed charge sheet in the Jagan Mohan Reddy disproportionate assets case on March 31 and was given police protection after that. Sohrabuddin case, Satyam scam, illegal mining by Obulapuram Mining Company and Emaar Hills Township scam are among the high profile cases he investigated till now. In June 2013, he was transferred to Mumbai.
