Kunika Biography

Kunickaa Sadanand Lall, also known as Kunika Lall and Kunika is an Indian actress who mostly appears in Bollywood and television doing character roles. She is mostly seen playing supporting roles and negative ones. She has also done a few comic roles. She is also known as an entrepreneur, business personality, Producer & Social Activist. She is also a singer and has released three pop albums up-to-date. Lakhon Mein Ek (1996), Kunika (2002) and Joombish (A Mystical Journey) 2006 are her released albums. Earlier she has been into a chain of restaurants named 'White the Italian café', 'Zingcafe, 'Majestica - The royal banquet hall' and a spa called 'Exhale’, though she ended the partnership in 2007. Currently she is running an event company called Karma Events and Entertainment, which organizes events and shows.

She was born in Mumbai in 1960. Her first marriage happened at the young age of 16 which resulted in a divorce two years later. She secondly married Vinay Lall and that too ended. In both these marriages, she has one son each. Since teenager she was keen in joining television as an actress. She did a few television serials for Doordarshan Delhi and later moved to Mumbai in search of film opportunities. She received a first break from Manju Asrani, wife of veteran comedian Asrani to appear in a television serial.

Doordarshan TV serial Adalat directed by Dheeraj Kumar in the mid-1990s was one of her noted roles on television. She began her film career in 1988 at the age of 24, doing a horror movie – Kabrastan. Earlier she appeared in a bit role in blockbuster Mr. India, though the role was not credited. After that she appeared in numerous roles of less significance. She was mostly seen doing negative and sexy roles and has appeared in more than 100 movies. But television gave her more appreciation than Bollywood. Daily soap - Swabhimaan is one such noted role on television.
