Kovai Sarala Biography
Kovai Sarala is an Indian film actress and a comedienne who primarily concentrates in films of Tamil language. She has also participated in some television series. She entered film industry in 1983 and her career spreads over three decades. She has received many awards and honors for her skillful performance.
Kovai Sarala was born on 7th April 1970 in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The name of her hometown Kovai stuck to her name when she entered acting field. After watching the films of M.G. Ramachandran, she got an interesting acting and wanted to pursue her career in that. Her father and sister were supportive in her desire and so as soon as she completed her studies she entered film industry.
Her debut movie was Mundhanai Mudichu in 1983 in Tamil. Some of her films include Vaidhegi Kaathirunthaal, Thambikku Entha Ooru, Chinna Veedu, Raja Chinna Roja, Adhisaya Manithan, Chinnavar, Pavithra, Villu, Devastanam, Veerabhadra, Style, Kovai Brothers, Evadi Gola Vaadidi, Mumbai Express, Priyasakhi, Shakalaka Baby, Naidu LLB, Maharadhi, Uliyin Oosai, Muni, En Mana Vaanil, Piriyaadha Varam Vendum, etc.
She played character roles, lead roles and supporting character and also villain character in her films. She is also a regular guest judge in the Sun TV program Asathapovathu Yaaru. Some of the television series that she has participated include Sundari Soundari in Sun TV, Vanthaana Thanthaana in Kalaignar TV and Sabhash Meera in Jaya TV.
