Koratala Siva Biography

Koratala Siva is a reputed film director, dialogue writer and screenwriter of Telugu movies. As a film director he is best known for his debut work – Mirchi which was a blockbuster hit. In 2015, his latest release Srimanthudu with superstar Mahesh babu playing the hero’s role was also a big hit. Bhadra, Munna, Okkadunadu, Brindavanam and Oosaravelli are his best works as a dialogue writer while script of Bhadra written by him also received appreciation. He is a relative of Posani Krishna Murali, under whom he started his film journey as an assistant.

Siva completed his B Tech degree before joining Posani Krishna Murali as assistant for dialogue writing. 'Girl Friend' was his first work as an individual writer. As a scriptwriter, Bhadra was his first major hit and earned him fame from the industry. It was a breakthrough movie of actor Ravi Teja too. But he was credited only as the dialogue writer of the movie. Okkadunnadu, Munna, Brindavanam and Oosaravelli are some of his noted works after that. Siva gained reputation in the Telugu Film Industry as a writer through the movies – Bhadra, Brindvanam and Simha.

It’s widely believed that Siva is able to write powerful dialogues for heroes to resurrect and boost their career records. Mahesh Babu and Ravi Teja are the best instances. Prabhas & Anushka were paired for his directorial venture – Mirchi in 2013 and was very successful. This movie boosted Prabhas’ career as well. After the big success of Srimanthudu in 2015, he is working on the untitled project Junior NTR and Samantha. The movie is scheduled to release in 2016. The director believes that directing his own script than that of others gives better results.
