Khushwant Walia Biography

Khushwant Walia is a popular actor associated with Hindi mini screen. He is best known for his role of Rubel Anuj Deewan in popular show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai...Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. He has also worked as an assistant director in Bollywood, and has worked under debutant director Siddhique for Kareena Kapoor-Salman Khan starrer blockbuster, Bodyguard in 2011. It was his first experience with the entertainment world, before he moved to acting. Mere Rang Mein and Ishq Ka Rang Safed are other popular roles on small screen.

Khushwant Walia hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born on May 11, 1987. His school and college days were spent in Mumbai. He started off working as an assistant director for the Bollywood film – Bodyguard in 2011. During the shooting of the film, Salman Khan suggested him to join television industry as an actor. Salman also pointed out the fact that he was working for the show, Bigg Boss on television and television medium is not inferior at all. So Walia decided to join television industry. After the film’s shooting he became friends with Aviva and her husband Atul Agnihotri, who were co-producers of the movie.

He essayed the role of Rubel in the Star Plus show Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, and he gained fame and popularity through this role. After the show he waited for the right role, as he wanted to meet with viewers’ expectations playing some good roles. The handsome hunk also earned a lot of appreciation through the show, Mere Rang Mein, where he played the role of superstar Kabir. Currently he plays antagonist in the show, Ishq Ka Rang Safed aired on Colors.
