Ken Ghosh Biography

Ken Ghosh is a Bollywood director known for the association with actor Shahid Kapoor. After appearing in a couple of music videos and television ads, Shahid Kapoor made his successful debut to Bollywood through Ishq Vishq in 2003, which marked the directorial debut of Ken Ghosh too. Popular television anchor Vishal Malhotra also made his Bollywood debut through the movie. The movie also starred Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala in lead roles, marking the successful beginning of Shahid Kapoor-Amrita Rao pair.

In the career spanning to more than 2 decades – Fida and Chance Pe Dance were his other releases and both these movies were declared flop at box office. Jiah Khan was the original choice of Chance Pe Dance, opposite Shahid Kapoor. But unfortunately she was asked to leave after a few shots and Genelia D'Souza was later included. It invited a bit of controversies too. Shahid-Genelia pair looked fresh on posters, bringing an end to those controversies. However they both couldn’t help the movie from sinking. His second movie Fida was one of the much hyped projects since its lead pair – Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were in a relationship. However audience appreciated the hot pairing of Kareena with Fardeen Khan than with Shahid.

Ken Ghosh was born in Mumbai in 1967. He studied at The Bishop's School, Mumbai. He started his career directing a few ad films and he shot to fame with his directorial debut, Ishq Vishq qhich successfully launched Shahid Kapoor too. He has also been associated with his movies as a story writer and screenwriter. He has also co-produced two television series – A.D.A and Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii. Presently Ken is busy with his untitled project right now.
