Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar Biography

Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, also called Kirti Gaikwad is a popular and successful actress of Hindi mini screen. She is best known for playing the female lead in Kammal (2002), based on the life of Kammal, a woman of substance. She played the role of a bar dancer who marries a rich guy, Sandeep Baswana in this show. After playing a few more noted roles on small screen, she disappeared. She was last seen as Mrinalini Purohit in the Zee TV show Choti Bahu. She is married to popular television actor Sharad Kelkar since 2005 and the couple has together participated in the dancing reality show – Nach Baliye in 2006. They have together appeared in the TV shows - Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Saat Phere. The couple has one daughter.

 

She was born in Mumbai on January 21, 1984. This beautiful actress started her campaign in 2002 with a debut on Kammal, playing the lead. The show was offered by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. In this women-oriented show, she excelled her role and went on to accept many meaty roles on television. Later she was seen in the shows - Hotel Kingston, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka, Kahiin To Hoga, Saat Phere, Solhah Singaarr and Choti Bahu. Her shows were mostly aired on Zee TV.

 

She worked with her future husband Sharad Kelkar for the first time in the show, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka in 2005. It was on the sets of this show they met for the first time. Keerti also was lauded for her performance as Niharika in this show. Same year Keerthi and Sharad got married. They were paired once again for the popular show - Saat Phere in 2007. In her last show, Choti bahu, she played the antagonist, a role that she has never attempted before.
