Kay Kay Menon Biography

Kay Kay Menon is a Bollywood actor at present. He was born in Kerala, yet he spent his whole life in Ambarnath and Pune, Maharashtra. His family moved from Kerala to Mumbai when he was very young. He is known as Kichu among his friends. His school studies were completed at St. Josephs Boys' High School, Khadki. He holds a degree in Physics and MBA as well. He lovely sings ghazals too, though he has not taken it as a serious profession.

Initially, Kay Kay Menon worked in an advesrtising company at Pune before he switched on to movies. His acting debut was through Nasseem in 1995. It was a parallel movie. in 1999, Anil kapoor’s movie Bhopal Express was also released, both these movies couldn’t make impact in box office. During those struggling days of 90’s, he did some serial roles and serial shows also. Pradhan Mantri, Zebra 2 and Last Train To Mahakali etc belonged to his struggling days.

Hasarein Kwahishein Aise, starring Shiney Ahuja as the leading actor was the first movie for which Kay kay’s role was noted. This movie was critically well acclaimed and belonged to power packed performances too. His next successful movie was Black Friday. The movie was in trouble of censorship for two years as it handled the delicate subject of 1993 Mumbai Bomb blasts. It was finally reelased in 2007.  After that, his supporting actor roles in Life in a Metro and Shaurya were critically well acclaimed and successful too. Thus he achieved stardom after a long struggle of about a decade or so. In his next movie – Dream man he will be seen doing 13 different roles, a unique subject handled by director Makrand Deshpande.

His other movies include - ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, Enemmy, Lafangey Parindey, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Strangers, Corporate, Sarkar, Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh, Silsiilay, Hook Ya Crook, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Deewar, The Stoneman Murders, Gulaal, Chaalis chaurasi and Bheja Fry 2.  Bhega fry 2 is the sequel of low budget movie – Bheja fry where Vinay Pattak played the pivot role. The movie Bheja Fry 2 was an extension of its first part. Though the movie received negative marks from critics, the chemistry between Vinay Patak and Kay Kay Menon was liked by audience and movie became successful too.
