Karan Razdan is a film actor, director and screenwriter associated with Bollywood. This director is quite known for making films on controversial themes and most of his movies failed to make an impact on box office, despite being bold subjects. In the 1980s he has acted in a few films. Mr. Bhatti On Chutti (2012) is his last work as a film director. He was formerly married to actress-TV host Priya Tendulkar, the daughter of famous playwright and writer, Vijay Tendulkar. They separated in 1995 due to adultery. She died in 2002.

Girlfriend (2004), Hawas (2004), Souten: The Other Woman (2006) etc are among his controversial movies and all these ones flopped at box office too. Girlfriend garnered controversy for its theme of lesbianism, a subject still taboo to Indian conservative society. Hawas is a tale of wealth, lust, betrayal and murder, while Souten: The Other Woman invited controversies for the skin show showed by the lead actresses and the controversial bikini scenes by Kiran Rathod which went viral over the net.

Karan Razdan was born in the year 1961. He started his Bollywood journey as an actor in the 1980s. Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki (1984), Tum Laut Aao (1983), Disco Dancer (1982), Jeevan Dhaara (1982) and Jeevan Dhaara (1982) are some of his film roles. With mid-1980s, he moved to writings. He wrote the popular series, Rajini in 1980s.In 2015, there were unconfirmed reports that he is planning to produce a sequel to Rajani, the popular TV series on Doordarshan in the 1980s, with Shrashti Maheshwari to play the female lead. The project is yet to get started. Now he is planning to publish his first book.
