Karan Nath Biography

Karan Nath is a popular film actor associated with Bollywood. He shot to fame after playing the male protagonist in 2002 romantic-action drama, Yeh dil aashiqana, directed by Kuku Kohli. Jividha Sharma played the female lead and the movie was noted for its melodious songs by Nadeem Shravan and helicopter stunt flying shown in the climax. This small-budget film was highly popular among the masses, and an above average grosser at box office. He made his film debut as lead actor in 2001 film, Pagalpan and later starred in Ssshhh…, LOC Kargil, Tum – A Dangerous Obsession, Zabardast, Kayanaat, Tera Kya Hoga Johnny etc. He played a child kid in the Bollywood iconic film – Mr. India (1987).

Karan Nath was born in Mumbai into a filmy family. He is the son of Bollywood producer and star secretary of Bollywood stars, Rakesh Nath. He was born on May 24, 1980. He made his first screen appearance in Mr. India, science-fiction film at the age of 7, as one among the orphans. He took an acting course in Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. He also took dancing classes from Shaimak Devar. He is a former tennis player at college who has played till National level.

He made his adult debut in the year 2001. The movie was Pagalpan. He played lead role opposite Aarti Agarwal in this romantic flick, which was a disaster. However his acting and dancing skills got appreciated. He got success through Yeh dil aashiqana released the following year. After playing small roles in Ssshhh… and LOC Kargil, he got noticed for his role in Tum – A Dangerous Obsession starring Manisha Koirala. He was seen in a bold avatar in this film, with some grey shades. However following the film’s failure, he took a break from acting and returned in 2007 with the film, Zabardast.
