Kapil Bora Biography

Kapil Bora is an actor, anchor and voice artist from Assam. Mon (2002), Bidhata (2003), Kadambari, Ahir Bhairav (2008), Jeevan Baator Logori (2009), Jetuka Pator Dore (2011), Dwaar (2013) are his noted Assamese movies as a film actor. Kapil Bora is the brand ambassador of CEC - an educational trust based in Guwahati. Kapil has also hosted several star events and popular for his services for social causes. He narrated the documentary film, Friends of Kaziranga (2010), which pays tribute to the forest guards of the Kaziranga National Park. He has also hosted many musical shows for television. He currently lives in Hengerabari area of Guwahati with his family.

 

His schooling was done at Don Bosco High School, Guwahati and later he attended collage at Cotton College, Guwahati. He debut silver screen with Bidyut Chakravarty's Gun Gun Gane Gane, released in 2002. It was followed by a series of movies, Gun Gun Gane Gane, Bidhata, Kadambari, Astaraag, Mon, Ajanite Tumaar, Ahir Bhairav, Prem Pahare Bhoyame, Bukuwe Bisare, Jeevan Baator Logor, Jetuka Pator Dore and Dwaar which included many commercial hits as well. 2013 film Dwaar is one of his most memorable roles, which received critics’ appreciation. Kapil acted in an eight-episode Hindi mini-series titled Manushi and Niyoror Phool on News Live.

 

He debuted in Assam's mobile theatre with Ashirbad Theatre and later worked in Rajmahal Theatre. His plays have been aired in AIR, Guwahati. "Surjyo", "Surongor Xekhot" and "Bhai" are his noted plays. Narakor Gopan Kakhyat and Pancharatna with film and theater actress, Zerifa Wahid are other noted plays. He hosted the popular show for children, Rang. Bora inaugurated a clothes bank at a function in Guwahati.
