K. C. Abdullah Moulavi Biography 
Kunnathu Chalil Abdullah Moulavi, shortly known as K. C. Abdullah Moulavi was a prominent Islamic scholar from Malabar, Kerala. He is known for Muslim educational reforms in Kerala as well as Islamic resurgence. He has played a significant role in the establishment of the Madhyamam Daily and Islahiya Association Chennamangallur. He has also written many Islamic books in Malayalam. Prabodhanam Quranil, Allahu Qur’anil, Paralokam Qur’anil, Namaskarathinte Chaitanyam, Nompinte Chaitanyam, Prabodhanam Oru Mukhavura, Jinnukalum and Malakkukalum, Qadiyanisthinte Adiverukal and Prabodhanathinte Pradhanyam are his published books.
K. C. Abdullah Moulavi was born in Kodiyathur village in Kozhikode on February 22, 1920. His primary education was done at various mosques. He graduated (M.F.B degree) from Baqiyatuswalihath in Vellur, Tamil Nadu. Then he served as the Principal of Darul Uloom Arabic College in Vazhakkad and later at Aliya Arabic College in Kasaragod as a faculty. He served as the Ameer of Kerala Halqa of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind during 1959-1972, 1975–1982 and 1985–1990. During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and the 1975 Emergency period, he was imprisoned.
As an educationalist he introduced several Arts and Islamic Courses in Islamic Colleges of Kerala which was widely accepted. He established the first Islamic institution for women with hostel facility in 1961 at Madrasatul Banat at Chennamangallur, Kozhikode. He was the proponent of Da’wa (Mission) courses. Till his death in 1995, he headed the educational institutions under Islahiya Association. He was instrumental in starting Majlisu Tha’leemil Islami Kerala which revolutionised primary Islamic education in Kerala. His literary contributions include teachings and lessons of Islam language as well as The Significance of Islamic Mission and Quran in the present era.
