Jyothi Surekha Vennam Biography 
Jyothi Surekha Vennam is an Indian archer from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. In 2011, she won two bronze medals at the 2011 Asian Archery Championships at the age of 15, and most recently in 2015 she participated in 2015 Asian Archery Championships. She has also represented India at World Youth Archery Championship 2013 held at Wuxi, China. She has been associated with state archery team. She managed to reach till position 12 in world ranking.
Jyothi Surekha Vennam was born on 3 July 1996 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She schooled at Nalanda Vidya Niketan. Jyothi exhibited her sporting skills at a very young age. She was just four years old when she made her name into Limca Book of World Records. She crossed the Krishna River three times with a distance of 5 km in three hours, 20 minutes and six seconds, making a new record of her name to earn this achievement. She also own won an Olympic round gold medal at the Mexican Grand Prix when she was only 13. She also claimed bronze in 20m and three silver medals (50m and 40m).
She was a trainee at Volga Archery Academy when she brought laurels to the country and Andhra Pradesh by winning two bronze medals at the 17th Asian Archery Championships. She was a part of the Indian compound team in the tournament. She bagged her first bronze medal after beating home team Iran. She lost to the powerful Korean team in the semifinals. She was coached by Cherukuri Lenin, who passed away in a road accident before she participated in the championship.
In 2014 she was a team member of the compound archery team which won a Bronze medal at Asian Games held at Incheon. She was awarded with a cheque of 5 lakh Indian rupees by CBR Sports Academy. Her bronze medal has significance as the city athletes had won an Asian Games medal after a long gap of 63 years.
