Junior NTR is an Indian film actor concentrating in Telugu film industry and his original name is Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and is also known as N.T. Rama Rao Jr. He is the grandson of the actor and the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N.T. Rama Rao.

He was born on 20^th May 1983 in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh in an affluent political family that has its roots in Telugu film industry. His father is Nandamuri Harikrishna who is a Member of the Parliament. His mother is Nandamuri Harikrishna’s second wife named Shalini Nandamuri.

He completed his schooling at Vidhyaranya Hingh School for Boys and Girls and then joined Vignan Vidhyalayam. He completed his intermediate course at St. Mary’s College at Yousufguda in Hyderabad. He also got good training in Kuchipudi dance. He married Lakshmi Pranathi on 5^th May 2011 at Hyderabad International Convention Center.

He started his career in Telugu film industry as a child artist and his debut film was Brahmarshi Viswamithra. His first film in the lead role was Bala Ramayanam. His initial films like Student No. 1, Subbu and Aadi gave him name and fame and established his career as an actor in Telugu. He is also a good singer and has sung songs in films such as Tamadonga, Kanthri and Adhurs.

Some of the films that he has acted include Ninnu Chudalani, Ramayanam, Subbu, Naaga, Allari Ramudu, Ahdrawala, Samba, Naa Alludu, Ashok, RAkhi, Kanthri, Yamadonga, Chintakayala Ravi, Adhurs, Brindavanam, Shakti, Oosaravelli, Dammu, Denikaina Ready, etc.

He has won many awards and honors for his films including two Nandi Awards, one Filmfare Award and three CineMAA Awards. He serves as the brand ambassador for many brands including Malabar Gold, Navratna Hair Oil and Zandu Balm.

He is also interested in politics and has campaigned for Telugu Desam Party during elections. During the campaign, on 26^th March 2009, he met with an accident and suffered brutal injuries. He was admitted at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences in Secunderabad and treated there.
