Jonita Gandhi Biography 
Jonita Gandhi is an Indo-Canadian vocalist known for her association with Bollywood. She has also sang in many international concerts alongside Bollywood’s top Bollywood singer, Sonu Nigam. Her first performance happened in the year 1996 and she has completed more than 15 years in the music industry. She got privilege to sing aside veteran playback singer of Indian cinema, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam for the title track of Deepika Padukone - Shahrukh Khan Starrer blockbuster – Chennai Express. But the track was recorded the track separately. Her collaboration with Aakash Gandhi has gone viral over net receiving tremendous response. Her cover songs are also popular in You Tube.
Jonita had passion of music since early childhood. She was raised in Canada. Her parents are Indians. Her father is an electronics engineer who has music as his hobby. He recognized the singing talents of young Jonita and encouraged her. Her first memorable performance was in the year 1996 when she sang for a Christmas function. Though she completed Health Science and Business as graduation, her real passion was music and hence concentrated on to her music career. She is trained in both Hindustani and western classical music. She also sang with her father for many community events and used to regularly sing Bollywood songs which prompted her to come back to India to begin a musical journey in Bollywood.
She sang for numerous cover versions of Hindi songs and the title track of Chennai express marked her real debut in Bollywood. Meanwhile she has also recorded a few songs in Malayalam and Bengali languages. Her songs in You tube were instant hits and helped her to begin in Bollywood. Most recently she recorded songs of Highway for music legend Rahman, which turned out to be chartbusters. She rendered her voice for 'Kahan Hoon Main' and 'Implosive Silence'.
