Jeet Biography

Jeet is a noted Bengali actor. He is a producer and television presenter also. Jeet began his acting career in 2002 with the film Saathi, which won him BFJA - Most Promising Actor Award. This movie is the remake of Tamil blockbuster hit – Thullathamanavum thullum. Later hits one after the other established him as the superstar of Tollywood. His big hits include - Champion, Naater Guru, Shongee, Premi, Bondhon, Juddho, Hero, Neel Akaser Chadni, Wanted, Josh, Dui Prithibi, Fighter, Shotru, 100% Love, Awara, Deewana and Boss. His second movie Champion was the remake of Aamir Khan’s Jo jeeta wohi sikander.

Jeet was born on November 30, 1978 in Kolkata. His full name is Jeetendra Madnani. He studied at St. Joseph & Mary's School, New Alipore and later at National High School, Hazra Road. His graduation was completed at Bhawanipur Education Society College. Later he joined family business. It was his friends who inspired him to try his luck in entertainment industry. Jeet started with modelling assignments and later entered television during middle 1990’s. He associated with an organization called the Prosenium Art Centre and acted in two English dramas - 'Arms And The Man' and 'Man At The Floor'. In between he met a producer from South and acted in a Telugu movie, Chandu. But the movie flopped at box-office.

In 2001, October he returned to Kolkata. He suddenly he received a call from Haranath Chakraborty and thus he got his dream role of Sathi that launched his successful career in Bengali movies. The movie similar to its Tamil original done by Vijay and Simran, created box office records and youth of Bengal went crazy with the new avatar of a Bengali hero. He was paired opposite Priyanka Trivedi in this movie. In 2003, his next movie Champion was released which placed his as the youth icon of Bengal. Jeet has been linked up with his co-actresses like Swastika Mukherjee and Koel Mullick. But he married Mohana Ratlani, a school teacher from Lucknow on 24 January 2011, one year after his breakup with Swastika.
