Jaswinder Brar Biography 
Jaswinder Brar is a popular Punjabi folk singer who also performs Bhangra. Nicknamed Akharheya Di Rani, she is quite popular with her stage shows since the year 1990. She started her career with the album named "Keemti Cheez" in the year 1990 and has completed 25 years in the field of singing. Jeonde Rehn is one of her most popular albums. She has also released religious albums - Amritsar Nu Challiye and Guraan Nu Milna Ae. In 2010 she was honoured with Shromani Punjabi Lok Gaaiki Award.
Her popular Punjabi folk albums include - Main Tan Tainu Yaad Kardi, Gallaan Pyar Dian, Keemti Cheez, Khulla Akharha, Main Teri Jann Gherungi, Ranjha Jogi Ho Gia, Akhara, Ishq Mohabbat Yaari, Dooja Akhara, Itt Khrakka, Goonjda Akhara, Jhalla Dil Waajan Maarda, Teri Yaad Sataave, Bol Kalaihria Mora, Rondi Nu Hor Rava Ke and Pyar - The Colors of Love. For 2006 Punjabi music awards, she received Best Oriented Folk Album (Female) for her album Gallan Pyar Dian. She received nomination at ETC Channel Punjabi's music awards 2006, for "Best Folk Oriented Vocalist (Female)" for her popular song "Mirza".
She was born in Kalanwali, Haryana on 8 September 1973. Baldev Singh and Narinder Kaur are her parents. Jaswinder Kaur is her maiden name. She gained attention in the 1990s through her popular albums - Keemti Cheez and Akhara. In 2000 she got married to Ranjit Singh Sidhu and took a break of two years. After that she is fully active in the world of Punjabi folk. The couple has one daughter. Her association with Babbu Maan has given many memorable duets to Punjabi music.
