Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress, former model and beauty queen who won Miss Sri Lanka Universe in 2006. But she is now a successful actress of Bollywood. She debut Bollywood with Aladdin and did a few flops like Jaane kaha se aaya hai till she got the leading role opposite Emraan Hashmi in the sequel of Murder – Murder 2. The movie was marketed using the hot scenes and songs picturation between Jacqueline Fernandez and Emraan Hashmi, but later turned out to be an average movie with less scenes of Jacqueline Fernandez. However the movie was declared hit at box office. The movie helped her to earn quick attention from public as an iconic sexy figure and bagged many big films as well.

Her most recent releases, Race 2 and Houseful 2 have become successful at box office. It’s to be noted that her appearance in sequels of hit movies have always been successful. She has been approached for the movie, a lead role in ‘According to Mathew’, which will be her Hollywood debut. She has worked as item girl in Ramayya Vastavayya. According to latest reports she is the leading heroine of the movie Kick, a Telugu remake where she will play leading role opposite Salman Khan. She will also be featured in Roy, her first movie against youth sensation – Ranbir Kapoor.

In March 2006, Fernandez was crowned the Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2006 and she represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2006 held in Los Angeles. She appeared in a Sri Lankan album next year. Then she became successful in modeling and she got offers both from Sri Lanka and India. She debut Bollywood with Aladdin in the year 2010, for which she received an International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Female Debut and Stardust Award for Lux Exciting New Face in 2010.

She has appeared in an item number in Houseful - ‘Aapka Kya Hoga’ and Ramaiya Vastavaiya – Jaadu ki jappi. Fernandez has graced the covers of many Indian editions of magazines thus becoming a style icon of present Bollywood. She has also won Asianet Film Awards for Most Stylish Bollywood Actor in the year 2013. She has always been ranked in the best 10 in Times of India Top 50 Most Desirable Women since 2011.
