Jackky Bhagnani Biography

Jackky Bhagnani is an upcoming actor of Bollywood and son of famous film maker, Vashu Bhagnani. This film producer introduced his son through a couple of movies, Kal Kissne Dekha (2009) and F.A.L.T.U (2011). Jaccky’s debut movie, Kal Kissne Dekha was a commercial failure at box office. However his second movie, F.A.L.T.U was a moderate success and noticed for its unique theme. He played lead role in Ajab Gazabb Love – remake of the Telugu film Seema Tapakai and Rangrezz – remake of Tamil movie, Nadodigal. However both these movies failed at box office. His upcoming movies are Youngistaan, Mumbai police and Shooting Star Productions.

Jackky’s schooling was done at St.Teresa’s High School. Since childhood he used to accompany his father to film sets and was inspired to become an actor in future. After schooling, he took a Degree in Commerce from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. Then he started his film career as an assistant producer of his father, for the movies "Out of Control" (2003), "Shaadi No. 1" (2005) and "Silsilay" (2005). In 2009, Vashu Bhagnani launched his son through Kal Kissne Dekha. For his debut, Jackky shed 60 kilos to fit into the role of lead actor. Earlier he was 130 kg with 44 inches waistline and he worked for nearly two years to bring his body into shape. He also took acting lessons for his movie. He worked aside Vaishali Desai, Nushrat Bharucha and veteran actor of Bollywood, Rishi Kapoor in this movie. However this movie was a big failure at box office though he earned encouraging reviews from critics.

In April 2011, he starred in F.A.L.T.U, based on the bad education system of India. The movie had an assembled cast of youngsters along with Arshad Warsi and Ritesh Deshmukh and did average business at box office. The following year, he played lead role in Ajab Gazabb Love, opposite Nidhi Subbaiah and Arjun Rampal.
