Indra Nooyi Biography 
Indra Nooyi is an American executive born in India. She is at present serving as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo. She was born on 28th October 1955 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She finished her schooling at Holy Angels AIHSS in Chennai. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Madras Christian College in 1974 and Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management at Calcutta in 1976.
She started her career as a product manager at Johnson & Johnson and then worked at textile film Mettur Beardsell. She joined Yale School of Management in 1978 and earned her Master’s degree in Public and Private Management. When she was at Yale, she finished her summer internship with Booz & Company. After her graduation in 1980, she joined Boston Consulting Group and then worked with Motorola and Asea Brown Boveri.
She joined PepsiCo in the year 1994 and became the president and CFO in 2001. He marked some major achievements including divestiture of its restaurants into Tricon which is now known as Yum! Brands, and acquired Tropicana in 1998 and bought Gatorade to PepsiCo. She became the fifth CEO of the country in 2007 in the 44 year history of PepsiCo. Since she started as CFO in 2000, the annual revenue of the company increased 72%. As the CEO of PepsiCo in 2008, she earned a total compensation of $14, 917, 701.
Forbes magazine ranked her as the fourth of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women in the year 2008 and 2009. Fortune magazine named her as the number one of the Most Powerful Women in Business for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. She was named as one of the America’s Best Leaders in 2008 by US News and World Report. She married Rajkantilal Nooyi and has two daughters. She got Padma Bhushan award in the 2007 from Government of India.
