Imran Zahid Biography

Imran Zahid is a talented actor associated with Bollywood and Theater. Imran has left a mark in the theatre field as a good actor and he is best known for playing roles in the popular plays of Mahesh bhatt - The Last Salute and Arth (based on his 1982 film with the same name). He also appeared in the theatric adaption of Mahesh Bhatt’s popular film – Daddy. Imran was seen in a supporting role in Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller – Jism 2, released in 2012. He was seen in the role of a narcotics detective in the film.

 

He was born and brought up in Bokaro, Jharkhand. He was born in the year 1982. He completed graduation in commerce from Hindu College, affiliated to Delhi University. Since his college days he was affiliated with the theatre troupe of the famous theater personality Arvind Gaur. After completing his studies he started his career as a lecturer and he never left his passion for acting. He continued with his career as a stage actor. Later he was associated with many plays of Mahesh bhatt, which established him as a successful stage actor.

 

In 2010 Mahesh bhatt announced a biopic on Chandrashekhar Prasad, a student leader from Jawaharlal Nehru University who was shot dead on March 31, 1997 by sharpshooters. The film was titled Chandu, and Imran was to play the lead role. However the project didn’t take off. But Mahesh Bhatt gave him the first break to Bollywood through Jism 2 in a supporting role. He gained attention playing the popular role of Muntadhar Al Zaidi in The Last Salute produced by Mahesh bhatt. He also played the lead role of theatre adaption of 1982 classic film – Arth.
