Himangini Singh Yadu Biography

Himangini Singh Yadu is a successful model and Miss Asia Pacific World 2012. She was crowned Miss Asia Pacific World 2012, on June 16, 2012 in Seoul, South Korea by Diana Starkova of Ukraine, beating 19 semi-finalists from all parts of the world. The following year, she handled the crown to another Indian model, Shristi Rana who was crowned Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 at Korea on 30th October 2013. This annual beauty pageant started on 15 October 2011 and she is the first Indian model to claim this title. She was one among the Top 10 finalists in I Am She 2010.

 

Himangini Singh Yadu was born on October 5, 1988 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Her school education was completed at her hometown. She dreamt to pursue a career in modelling and participate in beauty pageants since her childhood. She has curiosity to learn culture of different parts of the world and loves to make friends and travel. Reading, swimming, music and basketball are her other interests.

 

She won Miss Indore Title in 2006. She represented India in Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 and was crowned as Miss Asia Pacific World 2012 by Diana Starkova of Ukraine on June 6, 2012. When she was crowned the title of Miss Asia Pacific World, it brought back the focus of India’s 12-year dry run at pageants. The last time India won the title was in 2000 when Dia Mirza brought the crown home. Exactly the same year Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra also brought the crowns to India, thus sweeping all the three major titles. But later no Indian beauty has won any title in the past 12 years or so. Yadu was specially trained by Sushmita Sen, former Miss Universe.
