Heera Rajagopal Biography

Heera Rajagopal is a former Indian actress and model who has appeared both in Hindi and south Indian movies. She has been a popular face of television commercials during 1990’s. As a film actress, her noted roles are Nirnayam opposite Mohanlal in Malayalam (1995), The Gentleman opposite Chiranjeevi (Hindi -1994) and Thiruda Thiruda (Tamil -1993). Though she has a few hit movies belonging to Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil, she couldn’t make it big and she quit film industry in the late 1990’s. She married business man Pushkar Madhav Natu in 2002. But they separated in 2006.

Heera belongs to Chennai and she was born in the year 1971. She holds a graduation in Psychology. She debut big screen with 1991 Tamil movie, Idhayam alongside Murali. Then she regularly appeared in television commercials as well. In 1994, she debut Bollywood with Amanat opposite Sanjay Dutt and same year, she got a supporting role in the Hindi remake of Tamil movie, Gentleman where she reprised the role played by Subhashri in the original. In 1995, she debut Malayalam with Nirnayam opposite Mohanlal. It was the remake of the bilingual movie Criminal released the same year and she reprised the lead role played by Manisha Koirala. She also acted in Malayalam super hit, Oru Abhibhashakante Case Diary which starred Mammootty in the lead role.

With mid 1990’s her career started dragging behind and she started appearing in supporting roles. She played the supporting roles of Neha in super hit movie, Kathal Kottai and Rathna in super hit comedy, Avvai Shanmughi. She played supporting role in Anil Kapoor – Sridevi starrer Bollywood movie, Mr. Bechara. Krishna, Sathi Leelavathi, Band Master, Sabash Babu, Munarivippu, Nee Pathi Naan Pathi, Namma Annachi and Dasarathan are some Tamil movies in which she played lead role or second lead during early 1990’s. She has been paired with Sarathkumar in many movies during this period.
