Harshvardhan Deo Biography

Harshvardhan Deo is a young budding actor associated with Bollywood, who made an impressive debut with Jigariyaa in 2014. Deo doesn’t hold any filmy background. Yet he managed to create a niche of his own, by making an impressive debut in 2014, and received praises from all corners. The film was directed by Raj Purohit introducing Harshvardhan Deo and Cherry Mardia in lead roles. The film is inspired by true events. But the movie was opened to mixed reviews, and fared only average at box office.

 

Harshvardhan Deo hails from Delhi. He was born on 11th May 1989 into a Hindu, Saraswat Brahmin family. His schooling was completed at Delhi Public School, and later he did graduation from Cardiff University, United Kingdowm, where he specialized in business administration. His first screen appearance was for a short film, Kirchiyan released in 2013. He bagged his first Bollywood film the following year. He played lead role in his debut film, Jigariyaa. Though the film was not a major hit, it helped him to earn fame and recognition from the industry. For the film role, he lost over 6 kgs to achieve perfect shape.

 

He started his film career as an assistant director of Bollywood in 2012. He worked under Prakash Jha for the movie, Chakravyuh, before he faced camera for the first time. Earlier he has worked as a model in the industry who has been the part of many modelling assignments, and has appeared in print shoots.Apart from Kirchiyan, he also appeared in the short film, Neelofar, and both these works were well-acclaimed. Cricket is his favourite sport, and he reads and writes poetry. He is also a trained musician, who has performed in more than 300 live shows in India as well as abroad.
