Harish Verma Biography

Harish Verma is a successful Punjabi actor who works in movies, theatre as well as televsion. He became a star from the role of "Jatt Tinka" in Punjabi block buster movie Yaar Annmulle in 2011. For the role, he won Best Actor Critic Award. His role of Avtar singh sangvan in Na Aana Is Des Laado made him a household name among television audience. His Punjabi movie debut happened with 2010 movie – Panjaban where he played antihero role.

Harish Verma has been a successful stage actor before entering movies. He accumulated experience working under veteran Punjabi theatrist S. Gursharan Singh. It was his experience in stage plays that polished his talents as an actor. He has been a part of more than 70 plays and has performed live in more than 2500 stage shows as a stage actor. Then he moved to Mumbai to find big opportunities. He debut television with TV Series"Na ana is des laado" on Colors, where he played the role of younger son of the family – Avatar Singh. For his debut in Punjabi movie Panjaban in 2010 in negative role, he won a nomination at first PTC Punjabi film awards.

Yaar Annmulle worked as his big break to Punjabi movies. He worked aside Arya Babbar, Yuvraj Hans and Jividha Asta in this movie, telling the story of three friends. The movie was a blockbuster and he received PTC critics’ award for his most memorable role. In 2012, his third movie "Burrraahh" was released and it too turned out to be a box-office hit. He received a nominated for the Best Actor too. In 2013, he played lead role in Dady Cool Munde Fool, which was the first successful film of the year. For the first time, he worked aside Amrinder Gill in this movie.
