Harish Kalyan Biography

Harish Kalyan is a south Indian film actor and playback singer who appears in Telugu and Tamil movies. Made his debut in Samy's controversial movie Sindhu Samaveli (2010) opposite Amala Paul, he has acted in 5 movies up-to-date. Vil Ambu is his upcoming movie. Aridhu Aridhu, Sattapadi Kutram, Chandamama and Poriyaalan are his released Tamil movies, while he made his debut in Telugu movies through Jai Sriram in 2013.

Harish Kalyan was born in Chennai on June 29, 1990. The controversial movie, Sindhu Samaveli released in 2010 marked his acting debut. He was only 19 when he made his debut. He was paired with Amala Paul for this movie. The story revolves around an illicit relationship between a girl and her father-in-law. The movie received an ‘A’ certificate and was a box office failure. But he got attention and it was a perfect launch pad for him as an actor. Later Harish carved a niche for himself by working with prominent directors and actors like S A Chandrashekar and Sathyaraj.

Then he played a lead character in Aridhu Aridhu and a supporting character in Sattapadi Kuttram. In 2013, he was seen aside Karunas and Shweta Basu Prasad in Chanda Mama. He played the role of an engineer Sharavanan in his latest release – Poriyaalan. Rakshita played the female lead in this movie and it was released under the banner Grass Root Film Company. This entertaining movie received good reviews from critics. He danced for the first time for the movie Poriyaalan, which according to him is a nice experience. Till now, Kalyan is lucky with his co-stars. He got opportunity to work with Amala Paul, Anandi and Rakshita.
