Hari Om Srivastava Biography 
Hari Om Srivastava is a Scientist in the stream of Broadcasting. Broadcast Engineer, consultant, Visiting professor and academician are the various professions that he handles. He serves several decorative and top positions of Indian broadcasting. He serves as the President of World Development Foundation, Chief Executive Officer of OSBS Private limited, Honorary Director & member Governing Council of Technical Education & Research Institute, Ghazipur and Member of Governing Council, IIMT, Meerut. He has earlier served as Additional Director General of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He is founder of the Community Radio Technology in India and has played a significant role in the expansion of broadcasting in private sector.
Srivastava was born in May, 1947 and his early education was done at Varanasi. He took Master’s degree in Physics from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University in 1967. He took Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University Jaunpur in 1997 and Doctor of Philosophy in Information systems from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in 1999. He in Management from Royal Institute of Public Administration, London in 1984 and did a course on Computer-aided design from NHK in 1987.
He joined Ministry of Information and Broadcasting through the Indian Broadcast Engineering Service exam held in 1972. In the career spanning to more than 40 years, he has played a significant role in the expansion of both mediums of entertainment - All India Radio & Doordarshan. Establishment of IT Division of All India Radio, establishment of Broadcast Engineering Consultants India, a public sector undertaking of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and a wing of private broadcasters for AIR and Doordarshan are among those contributions.
