Hareesh Peradi Biography

Hareesh Peradi is a south Indian film actor known for essaying supporting roles. He predominantly works in Malayalam movies. A late entry to film field, he earned recognition in the recent times only. This 48-year old actor portrays both negative and positive roles and he has also appeared in several Malayalam television soaps. After struggling with less significant roles in Malayalam cinema for about 5 years since 2008, he received a big break through Left Right Left in 2013. Since then many noted roles came in search of him. In fact he was mostly associated with theatre. In 2017 he appeared in critically acclaimed and blockbuster hit, Vikram Vedha. His negative character as Malayalam character Chetta played a pivot role in the film and earned him recognition in Tamil cinema too. His role in Aandavan Kattalai also received rave reviews.

 

This talented artist had a strong background in theater before his entry to films. He is known for his natural acting skills and the unique portrayal of many of his characters onscreen have earned him rave reviews from critics and audience. Left Right Left, Pulimurugan, Pretham, Godha,Aby, and most recently Vikram vedha deserve true mention. Life of Josutty, Loham, Polytechnic, Njaan, Gangster, Nadan, Visudhan etc are a few more brief appearances. Though he has appeared in several TV serials and films, he gained recognition for the first time through Left Right Left. He played the pivot role of Kaitheri Sahadevan, a leftist politician with shades of grey in the film. There was no turning back after that.

 

Kidaari, Vikram vedha and Aandavan Kattalai are his appearances in Tamil movies, and he worked with Vijay Sethupathi in two of them. Hareesh Peradi excelled in the role of a CBI officer in Aandavan Kattalai. Kidaari in 2016 marked his Tamil film debut, where he was seen as an ageing politician. So far, Hareesh has appeared in around 40 films. He hails from Kozhikode and became popular in the theatre circuit by performing in the Appunnikal series of plays. The show has been staged 3,500 times, over a period of 12 years.
