Hamsika Iyer Biography 
Hamsika Iyer is an Indian playback singer who has rendered her voice for both Bollywood as well as south Indian languages. She is a popular figure of advertisement world, most popularly known for giving voice for jingles. She has also sung for several television serials belonging to Marathi language. She rendered her melodious voice for the song, Chanda Re of Eklavya, which was her big break to Bollywood. Chammak Chalo with Akon created great waves in Indian music industry.
She has also collaborated with many international music bands of Juno Reactor and Aamir John Hadad, which performed in many foreign countries. Most recently she recorded the Marathi song Bekhauff for the second season of Aamir Khan’s Satyameva Jayathe. She came to limelight after singing the song ‘Rupaiya’ for the same show in 2012. The item song of Chennai Express, ‘1 2 3 4 Get On The Dance Floor’ is her most popular film song in the recent times. She also rendered her voice for the popular track ‘Chammak Chalo’ of Ra One aside Akon and Ishq barse of Rajneeti.
She was born in Pune. She completed her education in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She was born in a musical family and she received initial training in Hindustani music from her father. She appeared in a few music shows of Indian television in the middle 1990’s, which marked her first singing experience. She entered Bollywood in the early 2000’s. But she struggled in Bollywood to get good opportunities. Ekalavya was her big break to Bollywood and after that there was no turning back. She has also been regularly featured in Aamir Khan’s reality show – Satyameva Jayathe which is aired on Star Plus and Doordarshan.
