Gautam Rode Biography

Gautam Rode is a successful television actor and model. Gautam was born on 14 August 1977 in Delhi. He started his career as a film hero in the Bollywood movie, Annarth opposite Preeti Jhangiani. He also appeared in a few music videos of which Tere Bina by Abhijeet Bhattacharya was most popular. Later he moved to television and became successful as well. He has also acted in a couple of Hindi movies - U, Bomsi & Me and Agyaat. Among his television serials, Saraswatichandra is the most popular work, where he played the lead role of Saraswatichandra Vyas. He was paired opposite Jennifer Winget and their Jodi won many awards including Favourite International Jodi and Favourite Jodi at Star Parivar Awards 2013. He also won Most Fit Actor (Male) for the same role at Zee Gold Awards, the same year.

Gautam hails from Delhi. He finished his schooling from Army Public School, Delhi and graduated in Commerce from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi. He wanted to help his father as a stock broker. But destiny was something else and he reached entertainment industry. He started his career with Bollywood movies. But luck didn’t help him and later he moved to television. In the year 2000, he appeared in ZEE TV’s Jahan Pyaar Mile. Baa Bahoo Aur Baby of Star Plus that was aired during the period 2005-2007 was his first noted work, where he played the role of Manva Naik.

His success with Baa Bahoo aur Baby prompted him to stay with small screen audience and later he appeared in numerous television soaps like Lucky, Hello Dolly, Mata Ki Chowki, Simplyy sapne, Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai, Mera Naam Karegi Roshan, Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah, Rubi, Teri meri love stories and Betiyaan Apni Yaa Paraaya Dhan. Currently he appears in Saraswatichandra of Star Plus, where he plays the male lead.
