Fleur Xavier Biography

Fleur Xavier is a gorgeous model who switched over her career to interior designing. This successful model reinvented herself as an interior designer and got success in this new profession as well. She launched Fleur Xavier Design Associates, her Delhi-based firm which is successfully running right now. Her firm works behind many high-end residential projects across Mumbai and Delhi. Xavier has admitted to many interviewers that it was not a sudden decision, but a slow working towards the goal, even fitting in Computer Aided Design lessons. She also interned with an architect, while juggling modelling assignments.

Fleur started her career as a model and fully dedicated to it for the first 5 years. She graced the covers of numerous fashion magazines and walked the ramp for many designers. She has been a busy model. Slowly she realized her fascination towards interior designing. Slowly she started dividing her time between modelling and her new passion, studied many new things and even did interim for architecture. She got architects and interior designers to give her lessons at home. Slowly she increased her time to interior designing. She went to New York to study at Parsons ‘The New School for Design’ for a year.

Though a famous interior designer, she has kept home as simple as it is. She shared her 1,200 sq ft home along with her mother. In 2014 she got engaged to Delhi-based Hotelier, Govind Akoi. They got engaged at Lake Como in Italy over a stylish soiree and have announced their marriage. The successful designer states that she started modelling as people told that she is tall and fits for the career; she has got a good figure; it was not planned. But when she got settled with the new career, she was fully planned. She also worked on trial projects with friends before she set up Fleur Xavier Design Associates.
