Esha Gupta Biography

Esha Gupta is a successful model and Bollywood actress. She came third at Femina Miss India Contest in 2007 and went to compete in the Miss India International contest. She appeared in Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar in 2010. In 2012, she signed a three-film contract with Vishesh Films and acted in three Bollywood movies, Jannat 2, Raazz 3D and Chakravyuh. She played lead role opposite Emraan Hashmi in her debut movie Jannat 2 which was commercially successful. In the rest two movies, she played supporting roles and both were successful too.

 
Gupta was born in Delhi as the daughter of an air-force officer and a house maker on 28 November 1985. She was studying Mass Communication from Manipal Institute of Communication while participating in Miss India contest where she finished third. She won Miss Photogenic in the contest. She featured in the prestigious Kingfisher Calendar in 2010. For her debut movie, she accumulated good responses from viewers as well as critics. She played the role of Emraan’s wife, Dr. Jaanvi Singh Tomar in this movie. The movie was a roaring success at box office too. In Raazz 3D also, she worked with Emraan though she played supporting role. She appears in a song in "Dhat Teri Ki" in Gori tere pyar mein and her upcoming projects are Tamanna and Humshakals. She played the role of Rhea Menon in Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh.

 
As a successful model, her name has been listed in many magazines. She was listed at number 13 in Times of India's Most Desirable Woman of 2012. She also got a place in FHM World's Sexiest 100 Women where she was positioned 98. She ranked 5 at Times of India's Hotlist 2012 Most Promising Female Newcomer.
