Dushyant Wagh Biography

Dushyant Wagh is a film actor, who played the noted role of Centimeter/Elder Manmohan in the Bollywood Blockbuster – 3 Idiots. He played the assistant of Aamir Khan in the movie and is seen in the film’s climax. His childhood role, fondly called Centimeter was played onscreen by Rahul Kumar, who shot to fame with this single role. He made his film debut in the year 2000 as a child artist through the film - Tera Mera Saath Rahe as the spastic child to Ajay Devgn and Sushmita Sen. But it was his small role in 3 Idiots which catapulted to fame. In fact all artists associated with the film 3 Idiots owns a special credit, for being the part of the movie which broke all box office records – the first Indian movie to reach 300 crore collections.

 

Apart from a few Bollywood films, he has also acted in television soaps. He was seen in the TV soap Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha on Colors, playing the role of Guru and currently stars as Nandu on Mere Angne Mein on Star Plus. Tera Mera Saath Rahen, 3 Idiots and Dombivali Fast are his film projects while Gumraah - The End of Innocence, Bh Se Bhade, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, The Buddy Project and Mere Angne Mein are his television works.

 

He was born in Mumbai in the year 1987. With his debut Bollywood film, Tera Mera Saath Rahen he handled a challenging role quite at his very young age which earned him appreciation. Prior to movies, he has been associated with theatre as a child artist when he was picked from his school by Nilesh Divekar, an assistant of Mahesh Manjrekar for a role. He was also seen in the Marathi film, Dombivali Fast as Madhav Apte's son.
