Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpeyi Biography 
Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai former Dy. Director General of All India Radio Delhi retired on 31st Jan 2015. He is a Postgraduate in Physics. Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai began his career from All India Radio, Gwalior and after serving in various radio stations including Bikaner, Almora, Kathua in J&K, and different National TV Channels.
Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai gave a new dimension to Hindi commentary and has brought to the public live commentary on many National occasions as 26th of January, 15th August and many other events having National or International Importance. Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai is not only a commentator but a renowned Poet, Gazal singer as well public speaker also.
As a deputy director of AIR Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai always encouraged talented people in literary field and gave them chance and introduce them to public for showing their talent. Incidentally, Dr Bajpei has set the slandered of Hindi commentary so high that it will be a hard task to beat his record in coming years.
Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai is also associated with media programs of different universities as a writer, speaker, mentor and examiner and readily accepts the invitations to encourage students for the cause of language he loves. Dr. Laxmi Shankar Bajpai is a permanent invitee as a judge of different competitions at national and international level.
Dr. Bajpayi is happily married with Mamata Kiran and the couple has one son and one daughter - both doing excellent in their fields. Dr Bajpai was born in 1955 and was born in Kanpur, UP. Shri Laxmi Shanker Bajpai, who is a well-known Hindi Poet also visited Venezuela to represent India at the 10th World Poetry Festival held in June, 2013. Apart from taking part in poetry festival Dr. Bajpai recited his poetry at a get-together with the Indian community in Venezuela held at the Embassy of India in Caracas.
