Dino Morea Biography

Dino Morea is a successful model who entered Bollywood through Pyar mein kabhi kabhi (1999) opposite Rinke Khanna. Rinke Khanna is the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia who debut Bollywood with the same movie. This multi-star movie was a big disaster at box office though its songs became popular that time.

His second movie was mega block buster Raaz in 2002, opposite Bipasha Basu. The super success of this horror movie brought these two actors close and they very soon acted another movie together – Gunah. The movie flopped at box office and very soon, the couple drifted apart. Ishq hai tumse is the third movie, when both these actors worked together. Dino was born to Italian father and Indian mother and he did his school and college studies at Banglore, where he lived with his parents. It was through modeling and fashion industry that brought him the fisrt offer to Bollywood movies.

In the year 2000, he did a Tamil superhit movie ‘Kandu Kondein Kandu Kondein’. It was a multi-star cast movie with A.R.Rehman’s music. The movie also included Mega star Mammooty and Aiswarya Rai playing the lead role, along with Tabu, Abbas, Ajith and Pooja Batra.  But it was super thriller ‘Raaz’ that gained him popularity in Bollywood.

After the flop of Gunaah and the breakup with Bipasha Basu, he did Baaz A bird in danger, opposite Karishma Kapoor. He was the leading actor with whom the lady fall in love, among the three. This movie was critically well acclaimed and well received too. Then he did a string of flop movies – Ishq hai tumse, Life mein kabhi kabhi, Insaaf, Karzz, Fight club, Holiday, Raqt, Plan, Mr and Mrs.Khanna, ssshhh, Life mein kabhi kabhi, Bran, Anamika, Deha, Acid factory, Gumnaam, Heroes and Pyar impossible. In a few movies like Pyar Impossible he did characters with negative shades. Yet he couldn’t make movies success. Most of the movies belong to either action or thriller categories and in many movies, he has done less significant roles. It can be said that, he couldn’t repeat the success of his modeling career in Bollywood though he started in a good knot. Let us hope he will get some good roles to prove his talents.
