Dharmajan Bolgatty Biography

Dharmajan Bolgatty is a standup comedian and comedy star of Malayalam cinema and television. He reached big screen through popular comedy shows on television. He gained huge popularity after his comedy show – Bluff Master aside Ramesh Pisharody on Asianet. Both were friends earlier and they got noticed for their amazing chemistry and instant timing on comic scenes. Dharmajan frequently enacted female roles for the show which became instant hit. Later they hosted together the popular show – Badai bangalow, a show adapted from Kapil Sharma’s show on Colors TV. In fact, both the kids of Dharmajan were named by his fellow friend Pisharody.

Dharmajan was born in Mulavukad, an island of Kochi. That’s why he adapted the screen name - Dharmajan Bolgatty. He has one elder brother who works in water transport. Dharmajan has been a mimicry artist since early days. His education was completed at Mulavukad high school and St. Albert's College. Dharmajan is married to Anuja and has two daughters – Vaiga and Veda, named by his friend Pisharody. Dharmajan and Anuja were distant relatives, and theirs was a love marriage opposing family of Anuja. Anuja’s family had many educationalists and they were not interested in marrying off her to a mimicry artist. Dharmajan reconciled relationship with in-laws after a kid was born. By then he became an established artist on small screen and big screen.

Bluff Master – proved to be his big break to his mimics career. He made his film debut through 2010 movie – Pappi Appacha, where he appeared as a sidekick of Dileep. Later he appeared in Dileep movies like Villali Veeran, Life of Josutty, Sound Thoma and My Boss. Amar Akbar Anthony, Jilebi and Aadu-Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu are his recent movies. He also appeared in a short film - Punchirikku Parasparam.
