Devika Chawla Biography 
Devika Chawla Kaushish is a female Indian singer, based out of the U.S. Her self-titled debut album that includes lounge, club, Punjabi and easy-listening music is a unique collaboration between artists from three countries - India, Pakistan and the US. It was a unique association of Shehzad Hasan of Vital Signs, Pakistan's pop band, Noor Lodhi, Manesh Judge and Anshuman Chandra of SaazMantra. "Kehnde Ne Naina" of Teri Deewani is another chartbuster song sung by Devika. This compilation album was listed as the "Top 14 Sufi Music Tracks of all time". She was featured on 4 tracks in Bohemia the Punjabi rapper's album "Da Rap Star", with the popular song included - "Ek Tera Pyar".
Devika Chawla started formal training in Hindustani music at the age of 8. She learnt under many gurus. The classical training provided her a good basement for her singing career later. It helped her to experiment with other genres of music like pop, contemporary as well as sufi. Her schooling was done at Modern School, New Delhi where she used to perform as a Hindustani vocalist as well as popular and Indi Pop styles. She moved to US to pursue studies in computer science. During her studies at Georgetown University, she experimented Hindustani music with western compositions. She teamed up with Holmes Ives and performed vocals for the album titled Satyriasis. After her studies, she continued learning Hindustani music.
Her first released album was a self-titled Indian pop music album which co-operated many artists of different countries and different genres of music. It became a huge success. Sony BMG India released a compilation called "Teri Deewani" with her hit track "Kehnde Ne Naina" in 2007. Ek Kaagaz, Da Rap Star, Saari Raat, Colours : Sufi Ke Anek Rang, Sufiaana - The Complete Sufi Experience, Judaiyan, Bijuri - The Single, Javeda Sufiaana and Lounge Nirvana are other albums.
