Devang Patel Biography 
Devang Patel is a popular musician and music composer associated with Gujarati entertainment industry. Patel also sang a few peppy numbers for Bollywood and Gujarati films. His parody songs in the early 2000s were quite popular. He has also acted in a few Gujarati films like Smile Please, Muratiyo No. 1 and Vanechandno Varghodo, apart from the television serial, Swaminarayan playing the role of Dada Khaachar. The Parody king writes his own lyrics. He acted in Gujarati films - Muratiyo No. 1 (2005) and Vanechandno Varghodo (2007), which became moderate success.
The chartbuster song of 1995 – Meri Marzi pictured on Govinda for the film The Gambler was sung by him. He also sang the song - "Stop That" for the same film and the songs were composed by Anu Malik. He sang a similar peppy number "Daddy Cool" aside Sudesh Bhosle for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chahat released in 1996. The song was pictured on Anupam Kher and Shah Rukh Khan, a few days after the chemistry of this pair became popular through DDLJ.
Patel used to sing and act in dramas during his college days. Later when he decided to choose one among the two, he chose music as his profession. He just thought of making an album at that time. He used to act in comedy plays in those days and urged to do something different. That’s how idea of comedy albums came to his mind. The first song was the number Madhurit mili rastein me, the smash hit he sang for a Gujarati film. He recorded the song at home as he didn’t have any money. Though he approached many music companies, no one was willing to release it. At last he convinced a music producer to release it for free. The song went on to become a super duper hit, establishing him as a parody king. Later the song was reused for the Bollywood movie The Gambler, and it became a huge success.
