Deepshika Biography

Deepshika is an Indian actress most known for Punjabi movies. She has also appeared in a few Bollywood movies and television serials. In 2011, she marked her debut in Bollywood as a director, directing the movie - Yeh Dooriyan. As a Bollywood actress, she gained attention for the first time through Shah Rukh KhanMadhuri Dixit starrer Koyla released in 2007. She played the role of Salman Khan’s sister in blockbuster Partner. Baadshah and Red Swastik are her other Bollywood releases. As a Punjabi actress, her pairing with Gurdaas Maan has been most popular. She was earlier married to actor Jeet Upendra and has two children. But the couple broke after 10 years and Deepshika later married Keshav Arora in 2012.

 

Deepshika Nagpal was born on 2 September 1977 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She came to acting industry in the late 1990’s. She became successful in Punjabi movies. Her role as Amrish Puri’s personal secretary in Bollywood movie, Koyla was her first noticed Bollywood appearance. She married actor Jeet Upendra in 1997. Upendra has worked in Malayalam and Hindi films like Afsana Pyar ka. He played the role of Mammootty’s younger brother in super hit movie, Johny Walker. The couple had two kids, Vedhika Upendra and Vivaan Upendra. But things didn’t work out. The couple got separated in 2007 after 10 years married life.

 

Deepshika met Keshav Arora during the making of her directorial debut Yeh Dooriyan. He was the lead hero opposite her and also appeared in the role of co-producer. They got married in 2012. The movie had a striking co-incidence with the real life of the actress. Dear Friend Hitler, Pyaar Mein Twist and Corporate are her other Bollywood releases. She has also appeared in a few Tamil movies.
