Deepika Singh is a successful television actress. With a single daily soap opera, Diya Aur Baati Hum of Star Plus, she became a household name. Her character name is this successful serial is Sandhya and very often she is called by the name ‘Sandhya Rathi’ too. She was born on 26 July 1989 in Delhi in a Rajput family. Singh completed a Masters in Business Administration in Marketing at Punjab Technical University and later moved to television. She was assisting her father in garland business at this time when she entered television. A single role made her a well known face all over India. She has won multiple nominations for this single role at various television award functions and won many awards as well.

 
Deepika Singh made her debut in the Star Plus series Diya Aur Baati Hum. This serial stars Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid as the main protagonists. It is also dubbed in Tamil as En Kanavan En Thozhan and in Telugu as Ee Tharam Illalu and shown in respective regional channels as well. The story has been adapted into Bengali as Tomay Amay Mile and to Kannada as Akashadeepa also. The serial tells the story of Sandhya, a girl belonging to middle class family and her dreams to become an IPS officer. How she gets married to a sweet shop owner and her journey to support the family is what the whole story unfolds later.

 
Deepika has received numerous nominations and awards at Star Parivaar Awards, Big Star Young Entertainer Award, Hira Manek Awards, Lions Gold Awards, Indian Telly Awards and Zee Gold Awards during the years 2012 and 2013. She won Favourite Bahu and Har ghar ka star (Female) at Star Parivaar Awards 2013. Last year, she won favourite Jodi, Popular actress and best actress award at various award functions as well.
