Dalu Krishnadas Biography

Dalu Krishnadas - one of the leading fashion choreographers in south India is credited to bring prominent changes to the South Indian fashion industry. He has trained and groomed numerous models and actors for ramp walks and shows. Dalu appeared in the controversial show - Malayalee House telecasted on Surya TV which made him a household name. In Dalu’s opinion, Modelling is a serious profession nowadays and taboo associated with it has gone. Now more people are taking modelling as a profession like others. He frames nearly 300 to 400 girls every year. In the year 2009 only he groomed 600 models for 13 beauty pageants.

Surprisingly this no.1 fashion choreographer of south Indian fashion industry started his career with hotel management. He completed his graduation in hotel management and worked in Taj, Bangalore for a short period, when he realized that it’s not his field. Very soon he joined IIFT Bangalore for a part-time course and later joined on full-time fashion choreography, and started designing.

He started loving colours since childhood. He wanted to be unique and dress different. He used to cut his mother’s expensive silk sarees to make his own designs and clothes. His parents didn’t accept his desire to do fashion designing and under their compulsion completed his graduation in hotel management. Though he started his professional career in hotel management he couldn’t hide his passion any more. That’s how he quit his job to study fashion world in detail.

In his point of view, when a model walks, there is a mathematical calculation and he prepared a book by sketching his missions for a lesson to teach new generation models. He completed almost 15 years in the industry and designs for nearly 13 beauty pageants of south India every year. Being a choreographer for last seven consecutive years in Navy Queen, he has worked for Ms. South India, Ms. Karnataka and Ms Andhra Pradesh beauty pageants, apart from shows for Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore.
