Daisy Shah Biography

Daisy Shah is a successful model, actress and dancer. She made her Bollywood debut in 2014 movie, Jai Ho opposite Salman Khan. The movie received mixed response from critics and was declared a semi-hit at box office. She made her film debut through 2011 Kannada movie, Bodyguard where she reprised the lead role of Ammu played by Nayantara in the original Malayalam version. She was paired with Jaggesh for the movie and received positive reviews for her performance as well. She has appeared in a few item songs also. Her songs are included in Vandae Maatharam, Bloody Isshq and Bachchan. She started her career as a backup dancer.

She was born in Mumbai. She worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya for 3 years and also appeared as a background dancer for the movie, Humko Deewana Kar Gayae (2006) of Akshay Kumar. She turned a dancer with the bilingual south Indian movie, Vandae Maatharam in 2010. In 2011 she made her Kannada debut through Bodyguard as female protagonist. Bhadra (2011) and Gajendra (2013) are her next two Kannada releases. She made her Bollywood debut through 2014 movie, Jai ho. It’s not a regular feature that a background dancer bags the leading heroine of a Salman Khan movie. But luck helped her to make the magic entry in Bollywood.

Daisy Shah is an arts graduate from Mumbai’s Khalsa College. She has an excessive amount of Tamil and Kannada movement photos to her credit score rating. Bloody Isshq was her first stint to Bollywood as an item girl. There are rumours that Daisy’s closeness to Ganesh Acharya was the reason behind his divorce.
