Chandrayee Ghosh is a Bengali model and actress who works in movies and television industry. She was born on 29 August 1980 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She made her film debut with 2004 Bengali film - Mahulbanir Sereng, directed by Sekhar Das, where she was seen in the supporting role of Saheli. The film was released at 13th Brisbane International Film Festival 2004. Later she was seen in the movies - Tista (2005), Manush Bhut (2006), Dosar (2006), Kaal (2007), Kaaler Rakhal (2009), Hatey Roilo Pistol (2011), Necklace 2011 and Tiyasha (2013). She received BFJA-Most Promising Actress Award for Mahulbonir Sereng in 2005.

Chandrayee Ghosh resides in Kolkata. Made her film debut in 2005, her debut film Mahulbonir Sereng earned her BFJA-Most Promising Actress Award. Later she was seen in a series of Bengali films, followed by a few television shows. Bandhobi, Behula, Mohona, Raat Bhor Brishti, Uttaron, Mohona, Bodhu Kon Alo Laaglo Chokhe and Kiranmala are her television roles up-to-date. , Dushaha Bash, based on Taslima Nasreen’s work is her upcoming television project. The show deals with the lives of three sisters. In 2009 she announced her directorial debut with the film – Sama. But the movie is yet to take off. The film is scripted by her.

Though known for TV soaps, she also had a successful stint with Labonor Sansar - a comedy series on Zee Bangla. She is quite popular with Hindu mythological roles of Goddess too. Manasa, Ekhane Aakash Neel and Sindoor Khela telecasted on star Jalsa belong to this genre. She essayed a negative character in Raat Bhor Brishti, while she did positive shaded role in Uttaron. She played a mysterious character in Mohona. Thus throughout her television career, she has got opportunity to portray different types of roles.
