Chandan Kumar Biography

Chandan Kumar is an upcoming actor associated with Kannada cinema and television. Radha Kalyana and Lakshmi Baramma are his best known television works. He got his big break to films in the multi-starrer film, Luv U Alia (2015) directed by Indrajit Lankesh. However his first signed project is Parinaya which got shelved. He appeared in many small budget films before signing the project - Luv U Alia. He played a parallel lead in the movie, aside V. Ravichandran and Bhoomika Chawla, which received mixed response from critics. He also played parallel lead in Bangalore 560023, and shared screen space with Karthik Jayaram, Sanjjanaa and Chikkanna. He has also appeared in Bigg Boss Kannada 3, a Kannada version of ‘Bigg Boss’ show on Colors TV.

Chandan Kumar was born on 11 September 1985 in Mysore, Karnataka. He completed his engineering degree prior to his entry in television. Joined television in the year 2011, he is best known for the roles he played in Radha Kalyana and Lakshmi Baramma, where he portrayed the noted character Chandu. He is also interested in appearing in reality shows. He was first seen in a reality show - Pyate Mandi Kadige Hodru. He was one of the contestants of Bigg Boss Kannada 3 aired in 2015.

As a film actor he started off with brief roles. Parinaya, Katte, Eradondla Mooru and Luv U Alia are his noted films. In 2011, he played a supporting role in the commercial hit - Lifeu Ishtene. Parinaya is yet to get a theatric release. Bangalore 560023 is his latest release. He quit the series Lakshmi Baramma in the mid-way when he got film offers.
