Bikram Singh Biography 
Bikram Singh is an internationally recognized Bangra artist of Indian origin. His family moved from Punjab to US when he was only 12 and got settled there. Bikram Singh is the most popular and talented Bhangra singer in North America in the recent times. Bik I Am and Tip top – his solo albums have been huge hits. American Jugni is his latest released album which topped BBC Asian Bhangra charts several weeks. He owns one band which includes artists playing tabla, drum, dhol and dholki. He has been the part of the band since last 7 years.
Bikram Singh was born in 1980. He shifted to US after his father migrated to US in the late 1980’s. Though he is permanently settled in US right now, he often visits his mother country as he wants to stay connected to his roots. His music training started with kirthans on harmonium at guridwaras. He used to hear Punjabi songs since childhood and his favourite singer is Malkit Singh. Meanwhile he started writing Punjabi poems also.
His music career began in 2000 when his brother uploaded a demo CD containing 5 of his songs, in a website developed by his brother. Then he sent the link to several music companies across the world. Tigerstyle from Scotland showed interest in his songs and he recorded the first song, Taakre with them. Same year he performed his first gig at New York. His first album was American Jugni released in 2005 which featured the hit song, Kawan sung by Gunjan. Later he collaborated with several music groups and delivered successful compositions. Many of his songs were featured in Hollywood projects too.
