Biju Pappan Biography

Biju Pappan is a Malayalam film actor who is active in industry at present. He is mostly seen in supporting roles. He portrays the roles of character artist, villain as well as comedy. His negative roles in Naran and Kayyoppu are the most memorable roles played by him till now. Oru naal varum, Chinthamani Kolacase, Achuvinte Amma, Chotta Mumbai, Twenty 20, Red chillies, Pranami and Indian rupee are a few more. He has also appeared in popular television serials like - Valsalyam, Thaali, Vava, Kavyanjali and Sthree Oru Santwanam.

 

Biju was born March 9, 1969, Kannamoola, Thiruvananthapuram city. His father M.P.Padmanabhan was a Mayor of capital city. He was a legendary councilor for 35 years also. He was a theatre artist and communist leader who had been elected to mayor position five times. His schooling was at St. Mary’s, Pattom and junior technical School Nedumangadu. He attended Sree Narayana Polytechnic, Kottayam for his Diploma in Civil Engineering. He was an active student during college days. He was the General Secretary, Cine arts club secretary and sports general secretary of the college. He was inter-poly champion in all throwing events. His association with cultural events in college prompted him to choose a career related to it. He married Sheeba on January 15, 1998 and had two sons

 

His first appearance in movies happened through Samooham in 1993. Suresh Gopi and Suhasini played lead roles in this movie. It was a comeback movie of Suhasini after a short interval. Later he appeared in most successful movie of Suresh Gopi – Commissioner in 1994. In this role he played a negative shade role. After doing a few roles in middle 1990’s, he switched to television. But later he returned back to cinema in the middle 2000’s in a bang. His role in 2005 movie, Achuvinte Amma was noted and very soon, he became an established actor of Malayalam in supporting roles.
