Bhalchandra Kadam Biography

Bhalchandra Kadam is a popular comedian and actor associated with Marathi entertainment industry. He is also known by the name, Bhau. Started his acting career in 1991, he is one of the well-established stage actors of Marathi language and till now he has appeared in more than 500 stage performances. He became a household name among Marathi TV viewers after his skits and performances in Fu Bai Fu, a Marathi standup comedy TV show on Zee Marathi. He also appeared in 8 TV shows.

Quite active in the film scene since 2010, he appeared in comic roles for the movies, Balkadu, Timepass, Timepass 2, Sanngto Aika, Kokanastha, Pune via Bihar, Miss Match, Narbachi Wadi, Chaandi, Mast Challay Aamcha etc. He was also seen in the Bollywood comedy film, "Ferrari ki saawari" which received positive reviews from critics. Vaajlaach Paahije - Game Ki Shinema, Time Bara Vait, Timepass 2 and Jaundya Na Balasaheb are his recent Marathi films.

He is a Maharashtrian born on 12th June 1972. He was born and brought up in Mumbai. He schooled at Dnyaneshwar School in Wadala. He is married to Mamata Kadam and the couple has three daughters - Mrunmayee, Sanchiti and Samruddhi. The family is currently settled in Dombivili. His father worked for Bharat Petroleum. Following his father’s unexpected death he had to take the responsibility of his family. The family also shifted from Mumbai to Dombivili.

Extremely popular in Marathi theatre and films, he started his acting career in 1991. He started off with theater and got associated with television and movies later. Evdach Na, Ek Daav Bhatacha, Karun Gele Gaav, Bajirao Mast Mi, Bhatachi By Pass and Many Ekankikas with his Group Korba 37 are among his noted stage plays. “Tuzha maza zamena” was his first Marathi serial. But he got noticed for Fu Bai Fu. He won one of the seasons aside Supriya Pathare.
